in one of two positions. Screw the framing brackets to the front
set of pilot holes if securing brackets over finished wall materials.
Or, attach the framing brackets to the rearward set of pilot holes
when securing unit to framed opening. See Figure 9.

Combustible Material
No greeting cards, stockings or ornamentation of any type should
be placed on or attached to the fireplace. The flow of heat can
ignite combustibles.
The non-combustible support header recommended in Figure 5
could be a metal stud that is tied in horizontally above the unit.
This optional header may take the place of the two top standoff
spacers. If the standoff spacers are not used, the combustible
above the fireplace must still remain at the minumum combustible
clearance opening heights as indicated by Figure 2, page 7.
Mantel Clearance
The minimum clearance to a combustible mantle is 25" from the
top of the fireplace top as illustrated in Figure 4.
