    Javelin D Model PD644 Voltmeter Instruction Manual Connections All connections are made to removable screw terminal connectors located at the rear of the meter. You must use copper wire with 60°C or 60/75°C insulation. Observe all safety regulations. Electrical wiring should be performed in accordance with all appli- cable national, state, and local codes to prevent damage to the meter and ensure personnel safety.

    For non-multiplexed serial communications with RS-232 data communi- cations equipment such as a personal computer, an RS-232 to RS-485 converter such as the Precision Digital PDA7485 is required. If using a PDA7485, connect the PD644 according to the PDA7485 wiring dia- gram for a two wire RS-485 application.
