Starting up the device - Configuration

8.1

Overview

The function of the muting controller is set via two DIP switch blocks, each of which has eight switches. The
DIP switch blocks are located behind a cover in the housing of the muting controller and are not accessible
in normal operation.
NOTICE
This muting controller can only be operated in operating mode 7 (see chapter 8.2 "Setting the
operating mode").
Parameter
You can set the following parameters for the function of the muting controller:
DIP switch
1 Number of the muting sensors
2 Muting mode
3 EDM
4 Restart
5 Muting-enable
6 Muting timeout
Procedure
Ä Disconnect the muting controller from voltage.
Ä Remove the cover from the housing of the muting controller (four screws; Operational controls).
Ä Set the operating mode of the muting controller via the DIP switch blocks (see chapter 8.2 "Setting the
operating mode").
Ä Remount the cover on the housing on the muting controller.
ð Tighten the screws with a torque wrench. Torque: 0.6 ... 0.8 Nm
Ä Connect the muting controller to the voltage supply
Ä Restart the muting controller.
ð After the device is started, the 7-segment display shows the set operating mode.
NOTICE
Error when configuring the muting controller in process mode!
If the switch position of the DIP switch blocks is changed in process mode, an error is triggered
and the OSSDs switch off.
Ä Only set the configuration of the muting controller while the device is in a voltage-free state.
