Initial Operation
You will receive the response NO CARRIER.
6.
Enter AT into your terminal program.
By means of the character string "AT", the INSYS Modem 336 LL 4D/2D
AC/DC will identify the baud rate at its serial interface.
The response will be OK.
If you don't receive the response OK, check the connection and check if the
DCD LED at the INSYS Modem 336 LL 4D/2D AC/DC is still lit. If yes, repeat
step 5.
The RX/TX LED lights up while you type.
If the RX/TX LED at the INSYS Modem 336 LL 4D/2D AC/DC does not light up
while you type AT and receive an OK, you may be connected to another mo-
dem (e.g. with the modem integrated in the laptop or the PC).
In this case, check to which interface your INSYS Modem 336 LL 4D/2D AC/DC
is actually connected and repeat the test.
7.
Save the identified baud rate using the command AT&W.
The INSYS Modem 336 LL 4D/2D AC/DC connected to the PC is now opera-
tional.
8.
Enter ATZ.
The response will be OK.
After a short time, you will receive the response CONNECT.
9.
Enter **** (four asterisks) into your terminal program.
To trigger the online configuration mode of the other INSYS Modem 336 LL
4D/2D AC/DC, do not enter anything for at least one second after entering
"****".
The INSYS Modem 336 LL 4D/2D AC/DC at the other end of the line will re-
spond with the password query for the remote configuration.

Enter the password "qwerty".
The character ">" is displayed as a prompt.
