TCP:
The Transmission Control Protocol is a transport protocol which enables
the data exchange between network devices. It works „connection-
oriented", which means that the data transmission is secured.
UDP:
The User Datagram Protocol is a transport protocol which enables the data
exchange between network devices. It operates „connectionless", i.e. the
data transmission is unsecured.
URL:
The "Uniform Resource Locator" refers to the address at which a service can
be found in the web browser. In this manual the IP address of the device is
mostly loaded as URL.
VPN:
Virtual Private Network: Logical connections (so-called tunnels) are set over
existing unsecured networks. The end points of these connections („tunnel
ends") and the devices behind can be considered as own logical network. A
very high degree of security of interception and manipulation can be
achieved by encrypt
