2.4.7. Adding engine oil.
CAUTION
DO NOT change or add engine oil just after the engine has been running, the oil will be HOT and will be a
burn/scald hazard. You should however drain the oil whilst the engine is still warm so that the oil drains fully.
To add oil you MUST make sure that the machine is on a flat level and stable surface. Remove the oil filler
cap/dipstick. Using an oil jug with a suitable funnel fill with oil – start with a small amount of oil and check with
dipstick, continue doing this until the oil is at the upper level. From empty the engine takes 1.0L of SAE15W40 oil.
N.B. the machines may have residual oil in machine after testing. Once the engine has been filled with oil securely
replace the oil filler cap/dipstick. Make sure that any spills are properly cleaned up before starting the machine.
