XPA HC-1

Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the new Emotiva XPA HC-1 High Current Monoblock Power Amplifier.
There are several advantages to using true monoblock amplifiers. Each channel is fully independent,
with its own chassis and power supply, which assures you that there will be absolutely no
interaction or crosstalk between channels. You also have the added convenience of being to add
exactly as many channels as you need, and being able to position each amplifier where it makes
the most sense, whether that means lining them all up on an equipment rack, or positioning each
directly beside the speaker it's powering. Monoblocks also offer you the option of upgrading your
system in stages - add a center channel, or upgrade your main channels today - then upgrade the
surround channels later when there's room in your budget.
The XPA HC-1 High Current Monoblock Power Amplifier uses the same exceptional sounding short
signal path Class A/B output circuitry, efficient Optimized Class H™ power topology, and massive
Switched Mode Power Supply (SMPS) that we use in our latest generation of XPA amplifiers. Each
XPA HC-1 is a totally independent amplifier, encased in its own heavy-duty all-metal enclosure, and
powered by its own massive isolated power supply, for the ultimate in performance and channel
isolation. The XPA HC-1 delivers 300 Watts into 8 Ohms, or 600 Watts into 4 Ohms, of pure clean
audiophile-grade Class A/B power.
Each XPA HC-1 is a little over 7 inches high, 18 inches deep, and 8-1/2 inches wide; and multiple
XPA HC-1 monoblocks may be mounted side by side if desired.
Whether you buy a single XPA HC-1 to power your center channel...
Or a full set to power your entire home theater system...
Move on up to monoblocks...
You'll be glad you did!
Happy listening!
