    6. Keep a stiff wrist. Do not arch your wrist at the beginning or the end of the stroke. Do not stop the motion of the unit while spraying. The path of the MODEL PRO 5.5 must pass beyond the area being stained and the Switch must be triggered on and off as the MODEL PRO 5.5 passes into and out of the spraying area.

    4. If the spray pattern is still not correct, please refer to MODEL PRO 5.5 TROUBLESHOOTING. 5. Hold the MODEL PRO 5.5 10-12 inches from the surface to be stained or painted. Keep the MODEL PRO 5.5 parallel to the ground without pointing it up or down. See Figure F.

    Pump Housing, See Figure J. 6. Press the Switch of the MODEL PRO 5.5 for 3 to 5 seconds while the MODEL PRO 5.5 is still turned upside down. This will cause the Petroleum Oil to go onto the Piston and will protect the MODEL PRO 5.5 from drying and seizing of the Piston.

    NOTE: To reduce the time the MODEL PRO 5.5 runs without paint or stain, hold the MODEL PRO 5.5 below the fluid level when priming. This will speed up the time the paint or stain is drawn through the tube. The paint/stain may need additional thinning if the sprayer will not prime.
