Replacing the Hydraulic Filter
Service Interval: Every 1,000 hours—If you are
using the recommended hydraulic
fluid, replace the hydraulic filter.
Important:
Use of any other filter may void the
warranty on some components.
1.
Park the machine on a level surface, shut off the
engine, engage the parking brake, and remove
the key.
2.
Clean the area around filter-mounting area
(Figure
81).

Place a drain pan under the filter
4.
Remove the filter by rotating it counterclockwise
(Figure
81).
5.
Clean the filter-seating surface of the filter
adapter
(Figure
81).
6.
Lubricate the gasket on the new filter with the
specified hydraulic fluid.
7.
Thread the filter onto the filter adapter until the
gasket of the filter contacts the seating surface
of the adapter
(Figure
filter an additional 1/2 turn
8.
Start the engine and let it run for about 2 minutes
to purge air from the system.
9.
Shut off the engine and check the hydraulic-fluid
level in the hydraulic tank and the filter area for
leaks.

Changing the Hydraulic Fluid

fluid, change the hydraulic fluid.
Every 800 hours—If you are not using the

the reservoir with an alternative fluid, replace
the hydraulic fluid and filter.

Hydraulic-fluid capacity for Non-TC model with the
High Flow Hydraulic Kit (optional) or TC model:

1.
Park the machine on a level surface, shut off the
engine, engage the parking brake, and remove
the key.
2.
Raise the cargo bed.
3.
Remove the cap and dipstick from the filler neck
of the hydraulic tank

4.
Route the intake hose of the siphoning
equipment through the filler neck of the hydraulic
tank and to the bottom of the tank
5.
Direct the discharge hose of the siphoning
equipment into a collection container
with a 11.4 L (3 US gallon) capacity—Non-TC
model or 18.9 L (5 US gallon) capacity—Non-TC
