Changing the menu settings

Selecting the mode setting of each item
Menu items differ depending on the position of the POWER switch. The screen shows only the
items you can operate at the moment.

Mode Meaning
— To suit your specific shooting requirement
(p. 63)
— To add special effects like those in films or on

— To add special effects using the various digital
functions (p. 60, 75)
— To adjust the white balance (p. 53).
z ON To automatically activate the electronic shutter
when shooting in bright conditions.
OFF Not to automatically activate the electronic
shutter even when shooting in bright conditions.
z OFF Not to use the self-timer function
To use the self-timer function
ON
To deactivate the digital zoom. Up to 10× zoom
z OFF
is carried out.
To activate the digital zoom. More than 10× to
20×
20× zoom is performed digitally (p. 33).
To activate the digital zoom. More than 10× to
120×
120× zoom is performed digitally (p. 33).
