BRAKE SHOE WEAR

Refer to the Safety Precautions on page 36.
The front and rear brakes are equipped
with brake wear indicators.
When the brake is applied, an arrow mark
(1) attached to the brake arm (2) moves
toward a reference mark (3) on the brake
panel (4). If the arrow aligns with the
reference mark on full application of the
brake, the brake shoes must be replaced.
See your Honda dealer for this service.
When the brake service is necessary, see
your Honda dealer. Use only genuine Honda
parts or its equivalent.

BATTERY

Refer to the safety precautions on page 36.
It is not necessary to check the battery
electrolyte level or add distilled water as
the battery is a maintenance-free (sealed)
type. If your battery seems weak and/or is
leaking electrolyte (causing hard starting
or other electrical troubles), contact your
Honda dealer or battery manufacturer.
Your battery is maintenance-free type and
can be permanently damaged if the cap
strip is removed.
This symbol on the battery
means that this product must
not be treated as household
waste.
Battery contains lead, which is a hazardous
material and if improperly disposed, can
be harmful to the environment and human
health.
