Driving your vehicle
CAUTION
During cruise-speed driving of a
manual transmission vehicle, do not
shift into neutral without depress -
ing the clutch pedal, since the
engine will be overrevved. If this
happens, depress the clutch pedal or
release the cruise control ON-OFF
switch.
NOTICE
During normal cruise control opera -
tion, when the SET switch is acti -
vated or reactivated after applying
the brakes, the cruise control will
energize after approximately 3 sec -
onds. This delay is normal.
NOTICE
To activate cruise control, depress
the brake pedal at least once after
turning the ignition switch to the ON
position or starting the engine.
WARNING
Misuse of Cruise Control
Do not use cruise control if the traf -
fic situation does not allow you to
drive safely at a constant speed and
with sufficient distance to the vehi -
cle in front.

operation.
• CRUISE: Turns cruise control sys -
tem on or off.
• RES+: Resumes or increases
cruise control speed.
• SET-: Sets or decreases cruise
control speed.

the steering wheel, to turn the
system on. The cruise indicator
light will illuminate.
