Storing a name tag for phone book entry
Store a name tag for a phone book entry displayed in the
driver information system.
Requirement: Entries are stored in the phone book.
– Press the MODE button on the multifunction steering
wheel ⇒ page 50 until the Telephone menu ⇒ page 54,
fig. 62 is displayed in the driver information system.
– Roll the left thumbwheel on the multifunction steering
wheel to Phone book ⇒ page 54, fig. 62 and press the left
thumbwheel. The phone book entries are displayed.
– Roll the left thumbwheel to the desired phone book
entry.

– Press the talk button on the multifunction steering
A ⇒ page 58, fig. 66. The chime <Beep> sounds.

– Say the command STORE.
– After being prompted, say the name under which this
phone book entry should be stored.
– Repeat the name after being prompted. The name tag for
the selected phone book entry is stored in the telephone
voice operation phone book.
If a name tag was stored for a phone book entry, this phone book
entry is displayed in the driver information system with a
⇒ fig. 68 symbol.

Storing a name tag with telephone number
Name tags consisting of names and associated telephone
numbers can be stored.

Requirement: The telephone voice operation is on

– Say the command STORE NAME.
– After being prompted, say the name under which this
phone book entry should be stored.
– Repeat the name after being prompted.
– Say the individual numbers of the desired phone number
one after the other (e.g. two, three) or in groups of
numbers. After each sequence of numbers, the recog-
nized numbers are repeated.
– After entering the last number, say the command STORE.
The name tag is stored in the telephone voice operation
phone book.
The voice tags that are stored in the telephone voice operation
phone book using the STORE NAME command, are not shown in the
driver information system.
