FCC, ACTA and IC regulations

To ensure safety of users, the FCC has establshed crtera for the amount of radofrequency energy that can be safely absorbed by a user or bystander accordng to thentended usage of the product.
Ths product has been tested and found to comply wththe FCC crtera. The handset may be safely held aganst the ear of the user. The baseunt shall be nstalled and used such that parts of the user's
body other than the handsare mantaned at a dstance of approxmately 20 cm (8 nches) or more. If you choose to use a clppng devce, please make sure to only use the suppled VTech belt clp.
FCC Part 68 and ACTA
Ths equpment comples wth Part 68 of the FCC rules and wth techncal requrementsadopted by the Admnstratve Councl for Termnal Attachments (ACTA). The label onthe back or bottom of ths
equipment contains, among other things, a product identifierin the format US:AAAEQ##TXXXX. This identifier must be provided to your local telephonecompany upon request.
The plug and jack used to connect ths equpment to premses wrng and the telephonenetwork must comply wth applcable Part 68 rules and techncal requrements adoptedby ACTA. A complant
telephone cord and modular plug s provded wth ths product. Its desgned to be connected to a compatble modular jack that s also complant. AnRJ11 jack should normally be used for connectng
to a sngle lne and an RJ14 jack fortwo lnes. See Installaton Instructons n the user's manual.
The Rnger Equvalence Number (REN) s used to determne how many devces youmay connect to your telephone lne and stll have them rng when you are called. TheREN for ths product s encoded
as the 6th and 7th characters following the US: in theproduct identifier (e.g., if ## is 03, the REN is 0.3). In most, but not all areas, the sum ofall RENs should be five (5.0) or less. For more information,
please contact your local telephone company.
Ths equpment may not be used wth Party Lnes. If you have specally wred alarm dalng equpment connected to your telephone lne, ensure the connecton of thsequpment does not dsable your
alarm equipment. If you have questions about what willdisable alarm equipment, consult your telephone company or a qualified installer.
If ths equpment s malfunctonng, t must be unplugged from the modular jack untl theproblem has been corrected. Repars to ths telephone equpment can only be made bythe manufacturer or ts
authorzed agents. For repar procedures, follow the nstructonsoutlned under the Lmted Warranty.
If ths equpment s causng harm to the telephone network, the telephone companymay temporarly dscontnue your telephone servce. The telephone company s requredto notfy you before nter-
rupting service. If advance notice is not practical, you will benotified as soon as possible. You will be given the opportunity to correct the problemand the telephone company is required to inform you
of your right to file a complaint withthe FCC. Your telephone company may make changes in its facilities, equipment,operation, or procedures that could affect the proper functioning of this product.The
