switch 4.
To switch the measuring tool off, press the "on/off"
button 4.
When no pushbutton on the measuring tool is
pressed for approx. 5–8 minutes and when no laser
beam is impinged upon the reception area 3 for
5–8 minutes, the measuring tool switches off auto-
matically to save the batteries.
Direction Indicators
The display 1 has 7 separate reception channels,
which indicate the position of the detector with refer-
ence to the laser plane. The closer the laser beam
comes to the centre mark 12 of the detector, the more
bars are indicated in direction indicator 8 and 9.
(see figure B)
Direct the reception area 3 toward the rotational laser.
Slowly move the detector upward or downward until
the direction indicators 8 and 9 appear on display 1
and/or an audio signal can be heard. According to the
working conditions and the requested accuracy,
select the sensitivity with button 5.
Move the detector upward when direction indicator 9
is lit (with the speaker volume on, a short audio signal
is heard). Move the detector downward when direc-
tion indicator 8 is lit (with the speaker volume on, a
long audio signal is heard). When the centre of the
reception area 3 is reached, the centre mark 12 on
display 1 is indicated and a continuous audio signal is
heard.
Memory Function
If the laser beam leaves the reception area, the last
laser beam position is saved.
Electronic Filter
The electronic filter protects the measuring tool
against bright sunlight and electromagnetic interfer-
ence.
