7. PARAMETER DESCRIPTION

d1 Main setpoint: The controller Temperature at which the compressor is switched
on. This must be fixed within the limits set in parameters d3 and d4.
d2 Differential (hysteresis): The differential is the temperature added to the set
point at which the compressor is switched off. A very small differential range
determines a very accurate control of the temperature, but also causes the
compressor to turn ON and OFF too often.
d3, d4 Lower and upper limit of main setpoint: These parameters respectively fix
the minimum (d3) and maximum (d4) limits of the main setpoint. The main setpoint
cannot be programmed outside these limit values.
d5 Minimum time interval between the deactivation and successive activation
of the compressor: d5 fixes the time interval which starts when the compressor is
turned OFF and during which it is not possible to reactivate it, in order to allow the
internal refrigeration circuit pressures to stabilize and save excessive switching of
compressors.
d6 Maximum temperature alarm differential: This parameter fixes the increase of
the control temperature with respect to the main setpoint, which, when exceeded,
causes the controller to activate the alarm output. After the Temperature alarm delay
period (d7) the display will alternate between "HtA" and the actual temperature
reading.
d7 Maximum or minimum temperature alarm delay: The time interval in minutes
between the alarm set point being reached and the controller going into alarm mode.
d8 Intervals between defrost cycles: This parameter fixes the time interval
between the end of a defrost cycle and the beginning of the following one. When
starting a manual defrost cycle, time interval counting restarts from zero. The
beginning of the first defrost cycle is regulated by parameter d34.
d9 Maximum defrost cycle time: By time-controlled defrosting, this parameter
fixes the maximum duration of a defrost cycle;
d10 Target Defrost temperature: This parameter fixes the defrost termination
temperature, which, when reached, ends the defrost cycle for safety purposes,
defrosting ends after the time set in d9 ends regardless of temperature. (only on
Icon SR range)
d11 Time period for supplementary defrost: After the defrost termination
temperature is reached the defrost heater is de-activated. If the defrost maximum
time period d9 has not been reached then the defrost heater can be cycled on and
off around the termination temperature (with a differential of 2 below the termination
set point).
d12 Defrost recovery time: This is the time interval between the end of defrost and
the display showing actual control temperature. During this period the display will
show the control temperature before defrost started.
d13 Compressor function during the defrost cycle: This parameter indicates the
compressor function mode during a defrost cycle, i.e. always OFF when d13=0,
always ON when d13=1.
d14 Drain down : This parameter sets the time interval that starting at the end of a
defrost cycle and during which the compressor remains OFF to allow optimum
drying of the evaporator.
d15 Fan function mode during normal controller operations: This parameter
indicates the fan function mode during normal controller operations, i.e.,
synchronised with the compressor when d15=0, always ON when d15=1 (only for
model ICON-132S & ICON-132SR). In both cases the fan remains OFF during
defrosting and then for the time set in parameter d16.
