No special break-in period is needed.
By following a few simple steps for
the first 600 miles (1,000 km), you
may enhance the performance, fuel
economy and life of your vehicle.
• Do not race the engine.
• While driving, keep your engine
speed between 2,000 rpm (revolu-
tions per minute) and 4,000 rpm.
• Do not maintain the same speed
for a long period of time, either fast
or slow. The engine speed needs to
be varied for the proper break-in.
• Avoid hard stops, except in an
emergency, to allow the brakes to
set properly.
• Do not tow a trailer for the first
1,200 miles (2,000 km).
