b. Select 10 ps time markers from the time-mark generator.
c. Use the Horizontal POSITION control to align the start of the sweep
with the 1st vertical graticule line.
d. Set the STORE/NON-STORE switch to STORE (button in).
e. Set the X I0 Magnifier knob to On (knob out).
f. CHECK — The time markers are one division apart.

a. Set:

b. Select 0.1 ms time markers from the time-mark generator and check
that the time markers are two divisions apart,
c. Rotate the SEC/DIV Variable control out of detent.
d. CHECK — For two time markers per division over the center eight
divisions.
n Step 7: Check Non-Store Sweep Length
a. Set:

STORE/NON-STORE
b. Use the Horizontal POSITION control to align the start of the sweep
with the 1st vertical graticule line.
c. CHECK — End of the sweep is to the right of the 11 th vertical grati­
cule line.
d. Disconnect the test equipment from the instrument.
F I Step 8: Check X Gain
a. Set:
X-Y
CH 1 VOLTS/DIV
Horizontal POSITION
b. Connect the standard-amplitude signal from the Calibration Genera­
tor via a 50 Q cable to the C H I OR X input connector.
c. Set the generator to produce a 50 mV signal.
d. Use the CH 2 POSITION and Horizontal POSITION controls to
center the display.
e. CHECK — Display is 4.85 to 5.15 horizontal divisions.
