Your La Crosse C83100 wind sensor may display dotted lines after changing the batteries because the base station has lost connection with the sensor. To resolve this:
1. Ensure the new batteries are properly installed in the wind sensor. 2. The station should automatically search for a replacement sensor of the same type. If it does not, manually reset the connection. 3. Press the SENSOR button on the station to confirm the sensor ID. 4. If the issue persists, perform a factory restart by holding the RAIN and LIGHT buttons together for 5 seconds. This will reset all sensor connections and Wi-Fi settings.
If the wind sensor is still not displaying data, it may not be pairing correctly, or there could be interference affecting the connection.
