OPERATION MANUAL CHARGING (6 V ONLY) When a MANUAL CHARGE is performed, the charger will continue to charge and will not shut off. You must keep a visual check on the ammeter to determine when the battery is charged. Be sure to monitor the charging process and stop it when the battery is charged.

Follow these instructions on how to use the ENGINE START feature. 1. With the charger unplugged from the AC outlet, connect the charger to the battery. Refer to the instructions in the safety information section.

4. Crank the engine until it starts or 5 seconds pass. If the engine does not start, wait 4 minutes before cranking again. This allows the battery and the charger to cool down. 5. If the engine fails to start, charge the battery for 5 more minutes before attempting to crank the engine again.

Double check all connections, the AC outlet for a full 120 V, the charger clips for correct polarity and the quality of the connections from the cables to the clips and from the clips to the battery system.
