Roll Mode
Roll mode causes the waveforms to move slowly across the
oscilloscope's display from right to left. It allows dynamic
changes (like adjusting a potentiometer) on a low frequency
waveforms to be seen by the user. When the oscilloscope is in
Roll mode, the waveforms are not triggered and run
continuously. Measurements can be made while in roll mode.
The Roll mode only operates on time base of 500 ms/div and
slower. If the current time base setting is faster than the 500
ms/div limit, it will be set to 500 ms/div when the Roll mode is
entered.
Use Roll mode on low- frequency waveforms to yield a display
much like a strip chart recorder. It allows the waveform to roll
across the display.
To enter Roll mode on channel 1,
1 Click on the
button on the soft front panel. Click on the
at the left of the Mode option. Select Roll from the
drop- down list.
2 To pause and display in Roll mode, click on the
button.
Able to acquire
In Roll mode, triggering and averaging functions are disabled.
