DRAINING THE WATER HEATER

1. Close the cold water valve.
2. Open the faucet to drain water off.
3. After servicing the component, close the faucet
and then open the cold water valve.
4. CLEANING THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER (HEAT EXCHANGER AND BURNER)
1. Refer to Frame 2.
2. Remove the 14 screws retaining the
combustion chamber case.
3. Pull the combustion
chamber case.
4. Brush off any deposits on the
heat exchanger and burner
with a soft brush.
5. Reassembly in reverse order.
