The following table describes the general wireless LAN labels in this screen.

Operating Mode Select the operating mode from the drop-down list. The options are Access Point,
ESSID

DESCRIPTION
Select Built-in from the drop down list box to configure your ZyAIR using the
internal WLAN card. Select Removable from the drop down list box to configure
your ZyAIR using a WLAN card adaptor using the extension card slot.
Note: This field is only available when you have an external wireless
card inserted in the ZyAIR.
Bridge/Repeater and AP+Bridge.
(Extended Service Set IDentity) The ESSID identifies the Service Set with which a
wireless station is associated. Wireless stations associating to the access point (AP)
must have the same ESSID. Enter a descriptive name (up to 32 printable 7-bit ASCII
characters) for the wireless LAN.
Note: If you are configuring the ZyAIR from a computer connected to
the wireless LAN and you change the ZyAIR's ESSID or WEP
settings, you will lose your wireless connection when you press
Apply to confirm. You must then change the wireless settings of your
computer to match the ZyAIR's new settings.
