At the beginning and end of each Advant Fieldbus 100 twisted pair segment a
TC501V150 Termination Unit is required. The bus cable must be grounded, but in
one end only. This is done by grounding the termination unit GND wire. Dual media
requires the same termination principles for each cable.

For the main trunk cable, a twisted pair cable type (IBM Type 1) similar to Belden
number 9182 is recommended and for the local tap cable a double twisted pair
(2-pairs) cable (IBM Type 6A) similar to Belden number 1215A should be used.
