Installing the passage set

1. Insert the key or turn knob passage set
assembly (A) into the opening in the trim
plate (C) and secure it with the spring
clip (B) from inside (see figure 9-1).
2. The tailpiece (D) is scored in several
places so you can easily break off the
section that extends beyond the required
lenght to engage the passage set cam.
3. Hold the tailpiece (D) firmly with a pair of
pliers on the passage plug side of the tail-
piece, adjacent to the desired break line.
4. With a second pair of pliers, grip the
tailpiece on the other side of the scored
line and bend up and down until it
breaks (see figure 9-2).

1. Position the trim plate (A) over the
reinforcing plate (B) (see figure 10-1).
2. Gently screw the thread ring (C) clock-
wise onto the cylindrical drive unit (D).
If you encounter difficulty during Step 2,
remove the trim plate and readjust the
reinforcing plate. Do not force the thread
ring.
3. Tighten the thread ring (C) clockwise
using the spanner wrench provided (E)
(item "i" on checklist) (see figure 10-2).

1. Inserte la llave o el cilindro de paso libre
(A) en la abertura de la placa interior (C)
y fíjelo desde adentro con la abrazadera
sujetadora (B) (véase la ilustración 9-1).
2. La parte posterior (D) tiene varias rayas
que pueden romperse para obtener la
longitud necesaria para que el dispositivo
de paso libre se enganche a la leva.
3. Sostenga bien la parte posterior (D) con
un par de pinzas del lado del cilindro,
cerca de la línea donde desea cortarla.
4. Con otras pinzas, tome la parte posterior
del lado de las líneas marcadas y haga un
movimiento hacia arriba y hacia abajo
hasta que se corte (véase la ilustración 9-2).
Instalación de la placa
interior
1. Coloque la placa interior (A) sobre la placa
de refuerzo (B) (véase la ilustración 10-1).
2. Suavemente atornille el aro roscado (C)
hacia la derecha en la unidad cilíndrica (D).
Si tiene dificultad para ejecutar el paso 2,
quite la placa interior y reajuste la placa
de refuerzo. No fuerce el aro roscado.
3. Apriete el aro roscado (C) utilizando la llave
de arco provista (E) (artículo "i" en la hoja
de verificación). Vea la ilustración 10-2.
