13.4.3

Internal Temperature Sensor

The temperature sensor monitors the detector's internal and sensor operating temperatures. Its purpose is to provide
information as to the detector's operating conditions (as part of the built-in self test system) and for use in the sensor
temperature compensation system. This setting is a calibration point for the temperature sensor. It is factory set and stored,
but the user can make non-saved changes to this value. The value should be set to the current operating temperature of the
detector. The user set value will persist as long as power is applied to the detector.
13.4.4

Display Colour Invert

The detector display can be set to appear as normal black on
white images, or as an 'inverted' white on black image.
13.4.5

Sensor Temperature Compensation

Sensor temperature compensation may be turned on or off as
required. Compensation against temperature changes is
optimised for the sensors supplied with the detector and
those supplied by Gastech.
13.4.6

Set Sensor Gain

The 'gain' of the sensor processing electronics may be
adjusted to 7 different values. As supplied, the gain is optimal
for the sensor fitted and the gas range selected.
Changes are automatically saved.
Changing to sensor types other than those supplied by
Gastech may require that compensation be turned off to
achieve optimal performance.
Changing this setting requires an understanding of sensor
signal levels. Please consult Gastech for advice on when and
how to set this parameter.
