Section 2 - Operation

2.6 Loading/Unloading

KNOW all national, state or territorial/provincial and local rules which apply to your loading/unloading of aerial
platforms.
Only qualified personnel shall operate machinery during loading/unloading.
Be sure vehicle capacity and loading equipment hoists, chains, straps, etc. are sufficient to withstand maximum
aerial platform weight.
The transport vehicle must be parked on a level surface and must be secured to prevent rolling while the aerial
platform is being loaded or unloaded.

2.6-1 Lifting

When it is necessary to lift the Skyjack aerial platform the following conditions must be met:
The platform must be fully lowered.
The battery connector must be disconnected.
The hydraulic/electric and battery charger/hydraulic tank cabinets must be closed and securely latched.
The extension deck must be retracted and secured.
The control box must be secured to the railings or removed.
The platform must be cleared of all personnel, tools, and materials.
The lifting/rigging may be attached to all four lifting points as illustrated in
