Bottle hygiene
The system is normally intended to be used to fill glass bottles and the washing of
those bottles conforms to HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) protocols.
Bottles must be washed in a commercial glass-washer immediately before each filling.
Preparation
Chipped or cracked bottles must be discarded.
Damaged or stained rubber washers on flip-top bottles must be replaced.
Bottles must be inspected for any foreign bodies inside. These must be removed or
flushed out with tap water prior to washing.
Washing
1.
Glasswashers must be clean and washing temperature set to 65°C or higher.
2.
Bottles must be placed upside down in the tray.
3.
After washing, bottles should be left in the tray to cool and then be filled and
capped as soon as possible.
TIP: For best results always use Eau de Vie branded bottle-wash racks. Hybrid racks
from other manufacturers may interfere with the vertical hot water jets.
