    PRECAUTIONS The operation of any appliance that uses fuel, electrical power and water demands that a number of fundamental safe- ty precautions be respected.     START-UP Have r’s Technical Assistance Service start-up your boiler for the first time. Once this has been done, the boiler can be left to function automatically. Under certain circumstances, such as after long periods of disuse, the user may need to re-start it without involving the Technical Assistance Service. Before doing so, perform the following checks and operations.
  • Page 7 SUMMER ( ): With the function selector set to Summer, the boiler functions only in domestic hot water mode. The temperature gauge (1) shows the temperature of the hot water inside the storage cylinder. °C To ensure correct functioning, set the room tempe- rature thermostat to its minimum setting.
  • Page 8 STARTING UP THE BOILER If a timer or room thermostat is installed, these must be switched on and adjusted to a temperature higher than current room temperature before the boiler can start up. The boiler will remain in stand-by mode until the burner ignites following a request for heat.

    SHUTDOWN If you are going away for a short period of time like a weekend or a short holiday, etc., turn the function selector to “ ” OFF/RESET.     WARNING LEDS AND ERRORS THE MAIN CONTROL PANEL Green LED (3) Off = boiler in stand-by, burner out On = burning lit, boiler functioning normally. Red LED (5) Safety shutdown: an error code flashes on the display. Burner lockout: the red LED lights and an error code flashes on the display.

    CLEANING Use a cloth damped in soapy water to clean the boi- ler’s external panelling. To remove stubborn marks, use a cloth damped in a 50% mix of water and denatured alcohol or a suitable cleaning product. Wipe the boiler dry after cleaning it.
