The lighting coil is energized by the three magnetic
units which concentrate a powerful magnetic Charge
within a small space and volume. the characteristic
being SuCh that a brilliant light is obtained Without
flickering at a low speed. while the rise of output
above the rated wattage is sufficiently low to protect
the lamps from serious overloading at maximum
engine speeds. One 01' the three magnet units also
energize: the ignition coil.

RUNNING M AINTENANCE.
Tho magneto requires very little maintenance and
i! the following notes are observed the life of the
machine should prove trouble-free.
Check and if necessary readjust the contacts once
every 5,000 miles (see page 37).
