7.1 Maintenance
The optoelectronic level switches work maintenance-free in normal
operation. They must be subjected to visual inspection within the
context of regular servicing, however, and included in the tank
pressure test.
Repairs must only be carried out by the manufacturer.
7.2 Cleaning
1. Prior to cleaning, properly disconnect the instrument from the
power supply.
2. Fit the protection cap on the sensor OLS-F1 and tighten with a
maximum of 5 Nm.
3. When installed place the level switch in an autoclave for a max.
of 20 minutes at saturated steam conditions. Here, the process
parameters 134 °C and 3 bar must not be exceeded.

Improper cleaning may lead to physical injuries and
damage to property and the environment. Residual
media in the dismounted instrument can result in a risk
to personnel, the environment and equipment.
Rinse or clean the removed instrument.
Sufficient precautionary measures must be taken.
