7. Maintenance and cleaning

7.1 Maintenance

When properly used, Float Switches are maintenance and wear free. How-
ever, they must be given a visual inspection as part of regular maintenance
and incorporated into the pressure test of the container.
The electrical connection housings are supplied with greased connection
surfaces or sealing surfaces and cover thread. After installation, these must
be kept in proper condition by re-greasing. Use a non-hardening, corrosion-
resistant protective grease for this purpose.
For flat and butt joints: multi-purpose grease, working temperature -30° C
to +130° C, e.g. Antar multi-purpose, Elf multi, Elf epexelf, Loctite GR125.
For threaded connections: Mineral graphite grease, working temperature -
30° C to +150° C, e.g. Loctite GR 135, Molydal M03
DANGER!
When working on containers there is a risk of poisoning or
asphyxiation. Work may only be conducted using appropriate
personal protection measures (e.g. breathing apparatus, pro-
tective clothing, or the like).
Repairs may only be performed by the manufacturer.
NOTE!
Proper function of the Float Switch can only be guaranteed
when using KSR Kuebler accessories and replacement parts
