Configuring  the  Expression  Pedal  
It   i s   e asier   t han   e ver   t o   s et   u p   e xpression   c ontrol   u sing   t he   A ftershock's   n ew   c alibration   a nd   m apping  
method.   W hen   t he   e xpression   p edal   i s   c onnected   t o   t he   A ftershock,   f ollow   t hese   s imple   s teps   t o  
calibrate   i t   a nd   m ap   i t   t o   c ontrol   d ifferent   e ffect   p arameters.  
1. Press   t he   C
ONTROL  
green.  
2. Press   a nd   h old   t he   C
(approximately   o ne   b link   p er   s econd).  
3. Move   t he   e xpression   p edal   o ver   t he   r ange   o f   m otion   y ou   w ould   l ike   t o   u se   t o   c ontrol   t he  
Aftershock.   I f   y ou   w ould   l ike   t o   u se   t he   e xpression   p edal's   f ull   r ange   o f   m otion,   t hen   m ake  
sure   t o   m ove   t he   p edal   a ll   t he   w ay   f rom   i ts   m inimum   p osition   t o   i ts   m aximum   p osition.  
Note   t hat   y ou   c an   c reate   " dead   z ones,"   i f   d esired,   b y   o nly   m oving   t he   e xpression   p edal   o ver  
a   l imited   r egion   o f   i ts   f ull   r ange   o f   m otion.  
4. After   s etting   t he   e xpression   p edal   r ange,   c lick   t he   A ftershock's   f ootswitch   o nce.   T he  
calibration   i s   n ow   c omplete,   a nd   t he   C
second).   N ow,   i t   i s   t ime   t o   m ap   t he   e xpression   p edal   t o   t he   e ffect   p arameters.  
5. Move   t he   k nob(s)   y ou   w ish   t o   c ontrol   w ith   t he   e xpression   p edal   t o   t he   m inimum   d esired  
position,   t hen   c lick   t he   A ftershock's   f ootswitch.   T he   C
(about   4   b links   p er   s econd).   N ote   t hat   y ou   m ay   c ontrol   o ne   o r   m ore   k nobs   w ith   t he  
expression   p edal,   u p   t o   f our   t otal   k nobs.  
6. Move   t he   k nob(s)   y ou   w ish   t o   c ontrol   w ith   t he   e xpression   p edal   t o   t heir   m aximum   d esired  
position,   t hen   c lick   t he   f ootswitch.   T he   C
you   m ay   c ontrol   o ne   o r   m ore   k nobs   w ith   t he   e xpression   p edal,   u p   t o   f our   t otal   k nobs.  
7. After   s etting   t he   m inimum   a nd   m aximum   k nob   p ositions,   t he   p arameter   m apping   i s  
complete.  
Note:   T he   p arameter   r ange   c an   b e   i nverted   b y   s wapping   t he   m inimum   a nd   m aximum   p osition   o f   t he  
knobs   d uring   c onfiguration.  
External  Switch  used  as  Expression  Input  (Expression  "Toggle")
