Vielen Dank, dass Sie sich für ein Qualitätsprodukt aus dem Hause Dentaurum
entschieden haben.
Damit Sie dieses Produkt sicher und einfach zum größtmöglichen Nutzen für sich und
die Patienten einsetzen können, muss diese Gebrauchs anweisung sorgfältig gelesen
und beachtet werden.
In einer Gebrauchsanweisung können nicht alle Gegebenheiten einer möglichen
Anwendung beschrieben werden. Deshalb steht Ihnen unsere Hotline gerne für

2. Allgemeine Produktbeschreibung
Die tomas ® -torque ratchet (REF 302-004-40) setzt sich aus dem Ratschenkopf, dem
Ratschengriff und einer Einstellschraube zusammen.
Die tomas -torque ratchet wird zusammen mit dem tomas -applicator (REF 302-004-20,
® ®
REF 302-004-70) verwendet, um den tomas -pin in den Knochen zu schrauben.
®
Der Ratschenkopf ist arretierbar, um die Drehmomentbegrenzung zu sperren.
Bei nicht arretiertem Ratschenkopf kann über die Einstellschraube das Drehmoment
von 10 bis 30 Ncm stufenlos eingestellt werden.
3. Anwendung
Die Insertion des tomas -pins – siehe auch Gebrauchsanweisung tomas -pin mit Hilfe
® ®
der tomas -torque ratchet darf nur mit einem Drehmoment von maximal 20 Ncm
®
erfolgen.
den Ratschenkopf so einstellen, dass er sich unter seitlicher Belastung abknicken
lässt. Ist der Ratschenkopf arretiert, stellen Sie die Einstellschraube mit einigen
Umdrehungen auf 10 Ncm ein. Anschließend wird der Ratschenkopf aus dem
Ratschengriff gezogen, um 90° gedreht und auf den Ratschenkopf eingerastet.
die Einstellschraube anziehen, bis das Drehmoment von 20 Ncm im Fenster sicht-
bar wird und die Markierung am Ratschengriff abschließt.

Sechskant des tomas ® -pins setzen.
der tomas ® -pin wird in den Knochen eingeschraubt, bis der Ratschenkopf abknickt.
Dies ist das Zeichen für das Erreichen des zuvor eingestellten Drehmoments. Im
abgeknickten Zustand darf nicht weiter eingeschraubt werden! Sonst kann es zu
einem Bruch des tomas ® -pins kommen.
Wichtige Hinweise:
Nach jeder Anwendung ist die Einstellschraube auf die unterste Markierung zur
Entlastung der Feder aufzudrehen!
Die tomas -torque ratchet muss vor der ersten Anwendung und nach jedem Einsatz
®
beim Patienten entsprechend der „Anweisung Aufbereitung von Zangen und
Instrumenten" (REF 989-590-10) desinfiziert, demontiert, gereinigt, getrocknet und
nach der Montage sterilisiert werden.
Die tomas ® -torque ratchet ist alle zwei Jahre durch den Hersteller zu kalibrieren.
4. Demontage
1. Einsätze aus dem Ratschenkopf entfernen.
2. Einstellschraube komplett vom Ratschengriff abschrauben.
3. Ratschenkopf vom Ratschengriff abziehen und die Drehmomentfeder entnehmen.
4. Die einzelnen Teile desinfizieren und reinigen. Anschließend, und vor der Sterilisation,
erfolgt die Montage der Ratsche.
5. Montage
1. Drehmomentfeder in den Ratschengriff einschieben.
2. Ratschenkopf mit der Gewindestange in den Ratschengriff einschieben.
3. Einstellschraube auf den Ratschengriff bis zur untersten Markierung schrauben.
6. Instrumentenaufbereitung
Die tomas ® -torque ratchet ist zur mehrmaligen Verwendung vorgesehen. Vor dem
erneuten Einsatz muss die tomas -torque ratchet desinfiziert, demontiert gereinigt
®
und montiert sterilisiert werden. Details dazu finden Sie in der „Anweisung zur
Wiederaufbereitung von Zangen und Instrumenten" (REF 989-590-10).
7. Qualitätshinweise

2. General Product Description
The tomas -torque ratchet (REF 302-004-40) consists of the ratchet head, the ratchet

handle and an adjusting screw.
The tomas -torque ratchet is used together with the tomas
®
REF 302-004-70) to screw the tomas -pin into the bone.
®
It is possible to lock the ratchet head in order to block the torque limitation. If the
ratchet head is not locked, the torque may be adjusted from 10 to 30 Ncm variably
using the adjusting screw.
3. Application
If the tomas -pin is inserted with the tomas -torque ratchet a maximum torque
® ®
of 20 Ncm must not be exceeded – also see the instructions for use tomas
Set the ratchet head so that it may be bent over if pressure is applied from the side.
If the ratchet head is locked, set the adjusting screw to 10 Ncm by turning a few
times. The ratchet head is then removed from the ratchet handle, turned by 90°
and clicked into place on the ratchet head.
Screw the adjusting screw tighter until 20 Ncm torque is visible and corresponds
with the markings on the ratchet handle.
Click the tomas -applicator into place on the ratchet head and subsequently place
®
onto the hexagonal matrix in the tomas ® -pin.
The tomas ® -pin is screwed into the bone until the ratchet head bends. This means
the set torque has been reached. Do not screw in any further once the ratchet
head is bent! There is a danger that the tomas -pin will break.

Important!
After each use, screw the adjusting screw back to the lowest marking in order to
relieve the spring!
Before the first use and after each use on a patient the tomas
be disinfected, dismantled, cleaned, dried, reassembled and sterilized, according to
the „Instructions for the preparation of pliers and instruments" (REF 989-590-20).
The tomas -torque ratchet must be calibrated every two years by the manufacturer.

4. Dismantling
1. Remove the inserted parts from the ratchet head.
2. Completely dismantle the adjusting screw from the ratchet handle.
3. Remove the ratchet head from the ratchet handle and remove the torque spring.
4. Disinfect and clean the individual parts. Before sterilizing, re-assemble the ratchet.
5. Assembly
1. Slide the torque spring into the ratchet handle.
2. Slide the ratchet head with the threaded bar into the ratchet handle.
3. Screw the adjusting screw onto the ratchet handle up to the lowest marking.
6. Preparing the instruments
The tomas ® -torque ratchet is intended for repeated use. Before reuse the
tomas ® -torque ratchet must be disinfected, dismantled cleaned, reassembled and
sterilized. For details please see the „Instructions for the preparation of pliers
and instruments" (REF 989-590-20).
