  • Page 2 From the windows DOS prompt, enter the Telnet IP address (e.g., Telnet 128.21.160.10) to activate the Telnet client. If the internal server “User ID” of PRECA 1280i is set to “anonymous” under “Network settings” in the Setup menu, logging on is automatic.

    Commands for Basic Activations Command: m_ZMV t Move the zoom (ring) to Wide side m_ZMT t Move the zoom (ring) to Tele side Functions: These commands control the zoom activation. The zoom motor is activated for the time specified, where t = time (msec). The specified time has a different movement, depending on the position of the zoom ring.

    Command: m_AF Auto-focus Functions: This command executes the auto-focus function of this unit, for automatic focusing on the subject. Note: If you select zoom or auto-focus when the auto-focus is already selected, the auto-focus will stop, and then either zoom will activate or auto-focus will re- activate.

    Command: s_IR n Auto-IRIS compensation mode Function: This command sets a compensation value for the IRIS when the IRIS function of the unit is set to auto-mode. The compensation value, “n” can be selected from –3 to +7. (Note that +1 is not the same as +1EV for a camera.) –3 means the iris is closed completely, and +3 means the iris is opened fully.

The overhead fluorescent lamp and base light cannot be lit at the same time (i.e., while one is lit, the other is off).

    Command: s_EZ n Electronic zoom Function: This command sets the magnification of the electronic zoom of the CRT output (Main screen). You can change the magnification of the electronic zoom function where “n” represents the setting value. “n = 100” means magnification. And “n = 1600” is the maximum setting value. A setting of 100 or less will be displayed as magnification.

    Commands for Operating Files Command: s_SP n Set the sharpness level. Function: This command sets the sharpness level of an image, where “n” represents a setting value from 0 to 5. The setting 0 means sharpness off, with each setting through 5 representing increased sharpness, 5 being the sharpest.
  • Page 18 Command: t_JQ n Set data compression rate of JPEG Function: This command sets the data compression rate for saving JPEG image files. The setting value is from “n = 50” through “n = 100”. The setting values of this unit are: Fine = 100, Normal = 95, Basic = 90, Draft = 85.

    Commands for Display Activations Command: d_FIL/directory name Displays image files of the PC card on CRT. /image file name (“ ” can substitute for “/”) Function: The command specifies a directory and image file name, and displays its image on the CRT output (Main screen). Possible file formats are BITMAP and JPEG formats.

These commands’ character strings are displayed for the Location on the WEB. “str” is an ASCII character string using maximum of 32 characters. Small letters are converted into capital letters (i.e., not case sensitive).
