7.5 Swell air plate

For larger seed types, the swell air plate must be removed to prevent damage to the seed,
the meter roll and the steel frame.
To do so, proceed as follows:

Remove the meter roll cover with the three star knob screws.

Unscrew the 8 bolts for the swell air plate and remove the plate.

• Mount the meter roll cover with the three star knob screws.
When mounting the meter roll cover, ensure that the cover latches into the groove
to ensure that no air escapes here.
NOTE: For large seed types such as vetch, peas, horse beans or similar large seeds, the
swell air plate must be removed to avoid damage to the metering cartridges.
TIP: We recommend the use of Flex metering cartridges, as these are flexible and do not
break (see under 7.1).
