8 Cancel: When traversing menus on the RM-111 the CANCEL key performs similar
functionality to the ESCAPE key on most software applications. Specifi cally, it should back the
user out of the displayed menu leaving any parameters unchanged.
9 Enter: This key serves as the primary selection key in the menu structure and as the start/stop
test key for running a test. It serves the same function as the START button on the RM-109, but it
can also stop the test at anytime and get a result calculated from the comparison of the pulse count
between a standard and a device under test when running a manual length test. The ENTER key
moves the user into or down the menu structure while the CANCEL key moves the user out of or
up the menu structure.
10 Up/Down Arrow Keys: These keys control vertical cursor movement for scrolling through
menu items and results. If there are more than four menu items or four lines of result data an
up or down movement is required for viewing purposes. An up or down arrow icon will appear
in the upper right or lower right corner of the LCD. These icons direct the user to scroll in the
appropriate direction.
11 Left/Right Arrow and Yes/No Keys: These keys control horizontal cursor movement within
a keypad entry fi eld and enables the user to scroll through multiple test result fi les. When viewing
results, either a left or right arrow will be present on their respective upper corners of the LCD
indicating the direction the user needs to move to see all of the results. Test parameters of the RM-
111 can often be answered/set with the YES/NO keys. Direct keypad entry of the YES/NO key
will also satisfy those parameters.
