DESCRIPTION
Select t he check box t o allow or disallow users t o access t he device using SNMP .
You m ay change t he server port num ber for a service if needed, however you
m ust use t he sam e port num ber in order t o use t hat service for rem ot e
m anagem ent .
Type t he t rap com m unit y, which is t he password sent wit h each t rap t o t he SNMP
m anager. The default is public and allows all request s.
Type t he I P address of t he st at ion t o send your SNMP t raps t o.
Select t his t o allow SNMP m anagers using SNMPv2c t o access t he device.
Ent er t he Ge t Com m un it y, w hich is t he password for t he incom ing Get and
Get Next request s from t he m anagem ent st at ion. The default is public and allows
all request s.
Ent er t he Se t com m un it y, which is t he password for incom ing Set request s from
t he m anagem ent st at ion. The default is privat e and allows all request s.
Select t his t o allow SNMP m anagers using SNMPv3 t o access t he device.
Click t his t o creat e a new ent ry. Select an ent ry and click Add t o creat e a new
ent ry aft er t he select ed ent ry.
Double- click an ent ry or select it and click Edit t o be able t o m odify t he ent ry's
set t ings.
To rem ove an ent ry, select it and click Re m ove . The device confirm s you want t o
rem ove it before doing so. Not e t hat subsequent ent ries m ove up by one when
you t ake t his act ion.
This t he index num ber of an SNMPv3 user profile.
This is t he nam e of t he user for w hich t his SNMPv3 user profile is configured.
This field displays t he t ype of aut hent icat ion t he SNMPv3 user m ust use t o
connect t o t he device using t his SNMPv3 user profile.
This field displays t he t ype of encrypt ion t he SNMPv3 user m ust use t o connect t o
t he device using t his SNMPv3 user profile.
This field displays whet her t he SNMPv3 user can have read- only or read and writ e
access t o t he device using t his SNMPv3 user profile.
Click Apply t o save your changes back t o t he device.
Click Re se t t o ret urn t he screen t o it s last- saved set t ings.
