15.3.1 Pre-defined NTP Time Servers List

When you t urn on t he device for t he first t im e, t he dat e and t im e st art at 2003- 01- 01 00: 00: 00.
The device t hen at t em pt s t o synchronize wit h one of t he following pre- defined list of Net work Tim e
Prot ocol ( NTP) t im e servers.
The device cont inues t o use t he following pre- defined list of NTP t im e servers if you do not specify a
t im e server or it cannot synchronize wit h t he t im e server you specified.

When t he device uses t he pre- defined list of NTP t im e servers, it random ly select s one server and
t ries t o synchronize wit h it . I f t he synchronizat ion fails, t hen t he device goes t hrough t he rest of t he
list in order from t he first one t ried unt il eit her it is successful or all t he pre- defined NTP t im e
servers have been t ried.

15.3.2 Time Server Synchronization

Click t he Synch r on ize N ow but t on t o get t he t im e and dat e from t he t im e server you specified in
t he Tim e Se r ve r Addr e ss field.
When t he Loa ding m essage appears, you m ay have t o wait up t o one m inut e.

The Cur r e nt Tim e and Cur r e nt D a t e fields will display t he appropriat e set t ings if t he
synchronizat ion is successful.
I f t he synchronizat ion was not successful, a log displays in t he Vie w Log screen. Try re- configuring
t he D a t e / Tim e screen.
To m anually set t he device dat e and t im e:
1 Click Syst e m > D a t e / Tim e .
2 Select M a nua l under Tim e a n d D a t e Se t u p.
3 Ent er t he device's t im e in t he N e w Tim e field.
4 Ent er t he device's dat e in t he N e w D a t e field.
5 Under Tim e Zon e Se t up, select your Tim e Zon e from t he list .
6 As an opt ion you can select t he En a ble D a yligh t Sa vin g check box t o adj ust t he device clock for
daylight savings.
7 Click Apply.
