Solid state sensors are used to detect the position of a driven magnet inside the Max Flow Meter. Changes in position are tracked by a microprocessor, which generates an output frequency proportional to the flow rate. Filtration: Clearances between the gears and internal wall are typically 0.001” to 0.002”. Any dirt present in the system can jam or damage the unit. A 10 micron filter (such as a Max 381 Series stainless steel unit) is generally recommended, although materials with very high viscosities may require a coarser filter. -
