Beyond the Basics
initializing your scanner
Initializing your scanner clears all information stored
in your scanner's working memory. Initialize your
scanner only when you are sure it is not working
properly.
1. Turn off the scanner, and turn it on again. Multi-
system Trunking Scanner appears.
2. Press 0 while Multi-system Trunking Scanner appears.
3. Press 1.
4. Press ENT. Initializing please stand by. appears for about
5 seconds.
Do not turn off your scanner until the initialization

is complete. When the initialization is complete,
M000 and Bank 0 Ch 00 appear on the display.

feature on RadioShack's website (www.radioshack.
com), or call 1-800-The Shack (800-843-7422) and
follow the menu options. Modifying or tampering
with the scanner's internal components can cause a
malfunction and might invalidate its warranty and void
your FCC authorization to operate it.

are signals created inside the scanner's receiver.
