    TURINING ON THE SCANNER/SETTING VOLUME AND SQUELCH 1. Turn SQUELCH full counter-clockwise. 2. Turn VOLUME clockwise until you hear a hissing sound. The scanner automatically scans all 10 banks. 3. Slowly turn SQUELCH clockwise, then leave it set to a point just after the hissing stops.
