Description
Antennas, WLAN and WWAN
IMPORTANT:
pull the cables up evenly.
Before removing the antennas, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.
Remove the following components:

Disconnect the battery cable (see
Remove the antennas:
1.
Disconnect the WWAN antennas from the WWAN module (1) and the WLAN antennas from the system
board (2).
2.
Lift the copper tape (3).
3.
Remove the antenna cable from the clips on the bottom of the left speaker (4) and the right speaker (5).
4.
Use a tool to release the antennas (6), and then remove the antennas from the computer (7).
NOTE:
Be careful when lifting the antennas to avoid tearing them. When the antennas use a bumper,
