Sliding Roof-Emergency Operation; Unlocking Of The Filler Rap - Mercedes-Benz 380 SL Owner's Manual

Sliding Roof-Emergency Operation (380 SLC)
Should the electric drive become
defective, the sliding roof can also
be moved manually.
A manual drive (2) is provided on
the drive motor (located in the
trunk, R-H side) for this purpose.
By means of the adapter (3) held in
1
bracket ( ) on the mounting plate
and with a screwdriver the manual
drive can be rotated and the sliding
roof moved to the desired position.
For this purpose, remove jack first.
To close the sliding roof, turn
clockwise.

Unlocking of the Filler Rap

If the filler flap cannot be opened
when the master lock system is
unlocked, withdraw the link of the
vacuum element (on RH side in
trunk).
