• When the transcever enters Emergency mode, the transcever wll change to the
Emergency channel and begn transmttng based on how the transcever s set up.
2 To ext Emergency mode, press and hold the Emergency key agan.
• If the Emergency mode completes the preset number of cycles, Emergency mode
wll automatcally end and the transcever wll return to normal.
n Lone Worker Mode
Lone Worker Mode s a safety feature bult nto the transcever. If the
transcever s not operated for a pre-programmed perod of tme, the
transcever wll emt a tone and automatcally enter Emergency operaton.
Operatng any key wll reset the tmer.
Press the key programmed as Lone Worker to toggle the Lone Worker
functon ON or OFF.
• Dependng on the delay tme programmed nto your transcever, the length of tme
you must hold the Lone Worker key wll vary.
• "L-WK ON" momentarly appears on the dsplay when Lone Worker s actvated.

ALK ROUND
Durng nterruptons n servce (such as a power falure), you can contnue to
communcate by usng the Talk Around feature. Talk Around allows you to
communcate drectly wth other transcevers wthout the use of a repeater, as long
as they are not too far away or there are no geographcal obstacles n the way.
Press the key programmed as Talk Around to toggle the Talk Around functon ON
or OFF.
• The con appears on the dsplay whle Talk Around s actvated.

OICE CRAMBLER
Note:
u Your dealer can actvate the bult-n scrambler functon, or they can add a more secure optonal
scrambler board to your transcever. Ask your dealer for detals.
u Ths functon cannot be used n certan countres. Contact your Kenwood dealer for further
nformaton.
The bult-n scrambler prevents others from easly lstenng n on your calls. When
actvated, the transcever dstorts your voce so that anybody lstenng to your
conversaton wll not be able to clearly hear what you are sayng.
In order for members of your own group to hear your call whle you are usng the
scrambler, all members must actvate ther scrambler functons.
Press the key programmed as Scrambler to toggle the Scrambler functon ON or
OFF.
• The con appears on the dsplay whle the Scrambler s actvated.
When usng an optonal scrambler board, you can change the scrambler codes:
1 Press and hold the key programmed as Scrambler for 1 second.
• "CODE" appears on the dsplay, followed by the current scrambler code.
