DRAM Test

The DRAM Test is used to check the validity of DRAM on the
Controller Board and the option DRAM SIMM. The test involves
writing patterns of data to DRAM to verify that each bit in memory
can be set and read correctly. This test takes longer to run for larger
DRAM SIMM.
Success - Busy Light blinks.
Failure - Both lights remain off.

Deactivate/Activate Demo Mode

This test prints out a demo page stored in the Controller Board
ROM. The printer is in the Demo Mode when both lights blink
simultaneously. When this condition exists, no print jobs can be sent
to the printer and some diagnostic tests will not run.
To deactivate the demo mode:
1. Unplug the printer.
2. Press and hold both buttons and plug the power cord into the
power supply. Release both buttons after the printer completes
POST.
3. Unplug the printer once again and replug it to get the printer into
the normal mode.
To activate the demo mode:
1. Unplug the printer.
2. Press and hold both buttons and plug the power cord into the
power supply. Release both buttons after the printer completes
POST. The busy light will blink.
3. Unplug the printer and replug to enter the active mode. Both
lights will blink simultaneously.
4. Press the right button to print a demo page. There will be a 30
second pause before the page starts to print.
