Parallel Port Wrap Test

This test performs a wrap around test between the printer parallel
port and the parallel port test connector. Install the parallel port wrap
plug in the parallel port of the controller board. Refer to the
beginning of this chapter to enter the test.
The printer continually runs the test until the power is removed from
the printer.
Success or failure is indicated as follows:
Success - Busy Light blinks
Failure - Power Light blinks

Hex Trace

The Hex Trace test puts the printer in a mode that is used to isolate
print job problems. While in this mode, each byte of information
contained in the job is printed in both hexadecimal and character
formats.

Clear Error Log

This test lets you track new errors.
Use this procedure to reset the last error in the error log, in the
engine NVRAM, to zero. The error log is especially helpful in
diagnosing intermittent or difficult problems.
The power light blinks rapidly when the test is complete.

ROM Test

The ROM Test is used to check the validity of the Controller Board
code and fonts.
Success - Busy Light blinks.
Failure - Both lights remain off.
