The optional point array mounting frame (product no. WG5-MD-EX) consists of two
parts as shown in figure 2.5. The mounting frame should be installed on two horizontal
beams (the horizontal beams are not included in the mounting frame package). Note:
when designing and producing the horizontal mounting beams, enough horizontal distance
should be left between the radars and the structure they are mounted to. That is, to
prevent reflections (as explained in the beginning of this chapter). If the customer chooses
to design and manufacture such a frame, the antenna centers of the mounted radar sensors
must form an equilateral triangle. When installing the radar array it is advised to first
install the mounting frame, then install the three radar antennas and finally mount the
radar housings to the antennas.
