 RECEIVER AND SWITCH HARNESS
INSTALLATION
185. Remove the covering from the fuselage side using a hobby
knife and #11 blade. Mount the switch harness using the
hardware provided with the harness. Secure the lead from the
receiver battery to the switch harness.
186. Secure the receiver in the fuselage using hook and loop tape
and a tie wrap. Connect two 9-inch (230mm) extensions
for the ailerons, and the lead included with the retracts (if
retracts have been installed). Connect the rudder, elevator,
switch and throttle servo (or speed control) leads as well.
 Make sure the receiver is securely installed if using
an AS3X-equipped item. Read the instructions included
with the receiver for additional mounting details.
187. Locate the remote receiver based on the instructions included
with the receiver or radio system. The remote receiver was
placed behind the rear of the cockpit.
Gas Engine Ignition Switch Installation
188. Remove the covering from the fuselage side using a hobby
knife and #11 blade. Mount the ignition switch using the
hardware provided with the switch. Secure the lead from the
ignition battery to the switch.
 PILOT AND CANOPY INSTALLATION
189. Glue the pilot into the pilot seat using a silicone adhesive or
contact adhesive. Position the pilot as shown in the photo.
Allow the adhesive to fully cure before proceeding.

190. Use medium grit sandpaper to lightly roughen the canopy
1/4-inch (6mm) around the perimeter of the canopy. Use
isopropyl alcohol and a paper towel to remove any debris of
oils from the gluing surface of the canopy.
191. Glue the canopy to the canopy hatch using canopy glue.
Use low-tack tape to hold the canopy in position until the
adhesive fully cures.
 COWLING INSTALLATION
192. Use hobby scissors and a rotary tool with a drum sander to
trim the excess material from the outside of the cowling and
to cut the hole for the engine shaft.
Trimming for Electric Motor Installation
193. Use hobby scissor to remove the material from between the
lower cylinders. Use medium grit sandpaper to smooth any
rough edges.
 Use care when trimming the plastic pieces
to avoid chipping the paint. The matching paint is
listed in the front of this manual if required.

medium grit sandpaper to smooth any rough edges.
