DRIVE CONTROL BAR - used to engage the gearbox
and propel the lawn mower forward.
THROTTLE CONTROL - used for starting the engine
and allows you to select either fast or slow
engine speed.
MULCHING PLUG - Allows the grass to be cut multiple
times under the cutting deck until small enough to be
left on the lawn.
WARNING: The operation of any lawn mower
can result in foreign objects thrown into the
eyes, which can result in severe eye damage. Always
wear safety glasses or eye shields while operating
your lawn mower or performing any adjustments or
repairs. We recommend a wide vision safety mask
over spectacles or standard safety glasses.
HOW TO USE YOUR LAWN MOWER
ENGINE SPEED
A throttle located on the side of the upper handle
controls the engine speed. Fast position is for
normal cutting, trimming and better grass bagging.
Slow position is for light cutting, trimming and
fuel economy.
TO OPERATE DRIVE SYSTEM (See Fig.4)
To start forward motion, push drive control bar forward
to handle.
To stop forward motion, release drive control bar.
IMPORTANT: ALWAYS KEEP DRIVE CONTROL
FULLY ENGAGED AGAINST HANDLE WHEN IN USE

CHOKE
START
FORWARD
ADJUSTING THE DRIVE SPEED (See fig.5)
(For speed adjustable model).
Note: The speed may only be adjusted when the
engine is running in order to avoid damage!

GEAR SHIFT LEVER

1. Start engine.
2. Select the speed/gear required - 1st slow, 2nd
medium, 3rd fast.
3. For good mowing performance from your mower
the throttle control lever should be set to high.
4. Before pushing the drive lever to engage the gear
box. Push the mower forward manually while slowly
pushing the drive lever towards the top handle.
Mower will start to move forward.
5. Be sure the gear shift lever is engaged in one of
the three detent positions.
NOTE: Get used to how your mower will engage and
drive forward, firstly start with the throttle lever set to
low or medium.
1st
(SLOW)
1st (slow) - Mowing long/thick grass.
2nd (medium) - Intermediate mowing speed.
3rd (fast) - Max. Self propelled mowing.
